The insulation class of an electric motor refers to the heat resistance class of the insulation material used, classified into classes A, E, B, F, and H. The allowable temperature rise refers to the limit to which the motor's temperature can rise compared to the ambient temperature. Each insulation class corresponds to different maximum allowable temperatures, winding temperature rise limits, and performance reference temperatures. For example, class A is 105℃, 60K, and 80℃; class E is 120℃, 75K, and 95℃; class B is 130℃, 80K, and 100℃; class F is 155℃, 100K, and 120℃; and class H is 180℃, 125K, and 145℃.
The performance requirements for motor insulation materials include electrical, thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties. VPI (vacuum pressure impregnation) technology can be used to remove moisture from the windings, improve the filling properties of the varnish, and make the windings form a unified whole. Environmentally friendly water-based insulating varnishes are characterized by their green and environmentally friendly nature, good permeability, and heat dissipation properties.
