The main differences between stator bars and stator coils are as follows:

Structural Differences:
Stator bars consist of one or more conductors tightly arranged and fixed together to form a bar-like structure. This structure gives stator bars high mechanical strength and stability, enabling them to withstand various mechanical stresses during motor operation.
Stator coils, on the other hand, are made of multiple turns of wire wound together, forming a coil. This winding method allows stator coils to generate a stronger magnetic field, thus meeting the electromagnetic requirements of the motor during operation.

Functional Differences:
The primary function of stator bars is to fix and protect the stator coils. In a motor, stator bars act as a support structure for the coils, ensuring the stability and safety of the coils during motor operation. They also provide a degree of insulation, preventing current leakage and short circuits.
Stator coils, however, are the key component in a motor that generates the magnetic field. When current flows through the stator coils, a rotating magnetic field is generated. This magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field in the rotor, thereby driving the motor.

Functional Differences:

During motor operation, the current direction in the stator bars and rotor is opposite. This is because the stator bars primarily serve a supporting and protective function, and their current direction does not directly affect the motor's operation. However, the current direction in the stator coils is the same as that in the rotor. This is because the magnetic field generated by the stator coils needs to interact with the magnetic field in the rotor to produce driving force. This difference in current direction reflects the different roles and functions of the stator bars and stator coils in the motor.
